📌 1. Number & Place Value

Numbers to 1000

We read numbers from left to right. The leftmost digit has the highest value.

NumberHundredsTensOnes
342342
509509
880880
342 = 3 × 100 + 4 × 10 + 2 × 1
Write the number: 5 hundreds, 2 tens, 7 ones = __________

Comparing Numbers

Use > (greater than), < (less than), or = (equal to)

342 < 509 (342 is less than 509)
880 > 342 (880 is greater than 342)
The mouth opens towards the bigger number! > <
Compare: 456 __________ 465

Ordering Numbers

Put numbers in order from smallest to largest (ascending) or largest to smallest (descending).

Smallest to largest: 123, 234, 345, 456
Largest to smallest: 456, 345, 234, 123
Order from smallest to largest: 567, 123, 456, 234

Odd and Even Numbers

Even: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12...
Odd: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11...
Circle even numbers: 23, 44, 57, 88, 101

➕ 2. Addition

Basic Addition Facts

Add numbers from 0 to 20 quickly!

2 + 8 = 10 | 5 + 7 = 12 | 9 + 6 = 15
Use doubles: 6 + 6 = 12, then 6 + 7 = 13
Complete: 4 + 8 = __________ | 7 + 5 = __________

Adding 2-Digit Numbers (No Regrouping)

Add ones first, then tens.

  23 45
+ 14 + 32
---- ----
  37 77

Solve: 32 + 24 = __________ | 56 + 21 = __________

Adding 2-Digit Numbers (With Regrouping)

When ones add to more than 9, carry over to tens!

   47 38
+ 25 + 19
---- ----
   72 57
(7+2=9) (8+9=17, write 7, carry 1)

Solve: 29 + 16 = __________ | 45 + 28 = __________

Adding 3-Digit Numbers

  234
+ 145
-----
  379

Solve: 123 + 456 = __________

➖ 3. Subtraction

Basic Subtraction Facts

Subtract numbers from 0 to 20!

15 - 7 = 8 | 12 - 5 = 7 | 18 - 9 = 9
Think addition: 7 + ? = 15, so 15 - 7 = 8
Complete: 17 - 9 = __________ | 14 - 6 = __________

Subtracting 2-Digit Numbers (No Regrouping)

Subtract ones first, then tens.

  48 76
- 23 - 45
---- ----
  25 31

Solve: 59 - 34 = __________ | 88 - 56 = __________

Subtracting 2-Digit Numbers (With Regrouping)

When ones are too small, borrow from tens!

   52 73
- 27 - 48
---- ----
   25 25
(borrow 1 ten = 10 ones)

Solve: 61 - 34 = __________ | 82 - 47 = __________

Subtracting 3-Digit Numbers

  456
- 123
-----
  333

Solve: 789 - 456 = __________
